IMPORTANT: I'm posting pdf copies of the lecture notes, starting with Section 4.3, here. These are just the notes, not the audio. The notes with the audio are on the brightspace page (along with just the notes as well). I'll post these as I write them. Some of them are occasionally difficult to read (the contrast is a little iffy), but if you follow along the audio files on Panopto it should help.
  • 4.3 notes. (Panopto file now on Brightspace)
  • 4.4 notes. (Panopto file now on Brightspace)
  • 4.5 notes. (Panopto file now on Brightspace)
  • 4.7 notes. (Panopto file now on Brightspace)
  • 4.9 notes. (Panopto file now on Brightspace) Sorry, the bluriness is kind of bad in parts on this one. The Panopto file should help. Also, for this section, I stuck very close to the textbook, so you can definitely follow along with the book.
  • 5.1 notes. (Panopto file now on Brightspace)
  • 5.2 notes. (Panopto file now on Brightspace) I STRONGLY recommend following along in Panopto on this one, this is tricky material and reading it alone is likely not enough to really get it. The online textbook on webassign has some nice stuff as well.
  • 5.3 notes. (Panopto file now on Brightspace)
  • 5.4 notes. (Panopto file now on Brightspace)
  • 5.5 notes. (A couple patches of this are rough to see, so follow along on Panopto.) (Panopto file now on Brightspace)
Textbook: Required: Calculus, Early Transcendentals (7th edition), by Stewart. (Make sure you do NOT get Calculus: Single Variable by Stewart. We used to use this book, but we no longer do.)

WebAssign for Homework: Note: this course will use WebAssign. You will need to purchase access to it when you buy your textbook.

Course Syllabus.
The syllabus will include information about grading policies, exam schedules and policies, etc. You should definitely read it.

Homework and Quizzes
IMOPORTANT: This assignment, about vital algebra errors. must be turned in by Thursday, January 16th in class! All other homework assignments will be completed online via WebAssign.
Homework will be posted on WebAssign and announced in class. Check frequently. There will also be occasional in class quizzes.

Exams
There will be three in-class exams, on dates TBA. (Dates will also be announced in class.) The final exam is Tuesday, May 5th 7:45-9:45 AM, location TBA.
  • Exam 1: Thursday, February 13th, exact sections TBA (but certainly including all of Chapter 2 and the beginning of Chapter 3). Here are some review questions you can take a look at.
  • Exam 2: TBA, online. Check for an email soon, and more info will be posted here and on Brightspace. In the meantime, here are two practice exams: Review 1 and Review 2 . Note: This exam will cover through 5.1. These two practice exams don't cover the last few sections (basically optimization word problems and antiderivatives), so make sure you're doing some problems along those lines. The homework would be the best way to handle this!

  • Final Exam: Tuesday, May 5th, covering only Chapters 4 and 5. This will run the same as the second exam, with the time blocks being 745-945 AM, 945-1145AM, and 1145-145. I strongly encourage you to sign up for the 745-945 block. Details have been emailed to you through Brightspace, don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions. Here are some practice questions for you to start studying with.
