When we arrived by train in
Venice we took the Canal Boat to San Marco (below). Our hotel was
locate about 100 yards to the left of the direction of the picture
below. The tower in the picture on the left below is leaning evidently
because Venice is sinking. |

| The Rialto Bridge over the
Grand Canal is one of the most beautiful sites in Venice. It is
difficult to tell from the picture but there are several shops on the
bridge. There is a popular cafe at the Venice entrance to the bridge
which is an excellent place for coffee and breakfast. The picture directly below is one of Judy and me standing on the Rialto bridge. The picture was taken when our camera hit the ground as a result of a tumble I took going down some steps. Both are fine. |

| While in Veince we too a day
trip to Murano (right) to take a tour of a glass factory. A tour was
about all we could afford. Our next stop was Florence. |
