Homework and Quizzes
Homework problems will be posted here. Homework will be assigned but NOT graded. So why should you do the homework? Because there will be a quiz every Friday, and the quiz problems will be either exactly or almost exactly right off the homework.

We will have a quiz every week, except possibly for the weeks we have exams. The quizzes will be at the end of class on Fridays (about 15 minutes) and will cover the sections that that week's homework covered. No makeup quizzes will be given, but the lowest quiz grade will be dropped.

Exams
There will be three in-class exams, on the dates posted below. (Dates will also be announced in class.) The final exam is Monday, May 6 from 8:00 to 9:55 in a room to be announced.

  • Exam 1: Monday, February 18th. The exam will cover sections 13.1-14.5, except for 13.7). Here is an old exam you can use for practice, and another old exam. You can ignore problem 2 on the first one, and problem 5 on the second one, they deal with quadrics not centered at the origin. However, quadrics are still fair game for this exam. Here are some solutions to the first of the practice exams.

  • Exam 2: Wednesday, March 20th. The exam will cover 15.1-15.7, and possibly 16.1 and 16.2 (I haven't decided yet, I will announce in class when I have decided). Here is a review sheet for the Chapter 15 material.

  • Exam 3: Friday, April 26th. The exam will cover 16.1-16.5 and 17.1-17.4. Here is an old exam you can use to study.

  • Final Exam: Monday, May 6, 8AM - 955AM in Kolbe 51. Arrive by 745 to start early, we can NOT run late. The final will be comprehensive from the whole semester. Here is an old final exam you can use to study. Please ignore 7b, we did not cover Lagrange multipliers this semester.
