Conference Fee

The cost for the Homogenization and Materials Science Conference (PS5566) at the University of Akron, September 15-17, 2000, is tentatively $75.00.  This includes the conference materials, parking permit, coffee breaks, a reception on Friday, September 15th, and a banquet on September 16th.

Location/Confirmation

The conference will be held at the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio in the Goodyear Auditorium of the Goodyear Polymer Center.  A letter of confirmation will be mailed after your registration and payment are received.

Parking Permits

Parking permits are necessary to park in University student lots.  The fee for the parking permit is included in your registration cost.

Three hotels offer a special rate to attendees at University functions:

        This hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the University.

We urge you to make your hotel reservations as early as possible.  When calling, be sure to mention that you are attending a University of Akron function.  The cost of the hotel room is not included in the conference fee.

Limousine and taxicab service is available from Akron/Canton or Cleveland airports, located 20 and 45 minutes, respectively from the University of Akron.  The one way fare for the Cleveland Hopkins Airport Limousine Service (800-543-9912 or www.hopkinslimousine.com) is about $15 from Cleveland and $9 from Akron/Canton.  The corresponding one-way cab fares are about $55 and $18.

Refunds

If the conference is cancelled by The University of Akron, a full refund will be issued.  Withdrawal requests received up to four (4) business days before the conference will result in a full refund less $10 processing charge.  Thereafter you may send a colleague in your place.  There will be no refund for "No Shows".
