Amberg (Below)

Our first stop was in Amberg, a beautiful walled city in Germany. This picture was taken in a garden behind our hotel. After a short train ride we visited Mittenwald (Germany). Below is a picture of the front of our hotel there. Note the paintings on the front. Many of the buildings in Mittenwald are similarly painted. Mittenwald is also famous for its violins. We found it to be a restful place to visit. The picture below and to the right is a view of the mountains surrounding Mittenwald.
	From Mittenwald we took the train to Verona and shared a car with two pleasant Korean ladies who were traveling around Europe. Interestingly, they both began their travels alone and met each other along the way.
